Bricks and Clicks for popcorn: Can anyone imagine what businesses could not use the Bricks and Clicks model?  We learned this week that Michael Porter’s work on competitive advantage provides a model to enable managers to determine how to compete, and how to position the business in the industry. The model suggests three generic strategies—industry-wide, cost leadership, or differentiation, and focus (a focus strategy may be based on cost leadership or differentiation, but it is aimed at a narrow segment of the market).
