Are there any components of the planning model that you think would be difficult to complete at this point?  One of the components is a Business Plan Analysis. In this analysis, you are asked to consider current and future work force trends. In relation to your P-Plan, what are some of those trends? How will they impact your program?  Another component is the Human Resources Assessment. As part of this component, consider the type of positions (both paid and volunteer) that you would need to make your P-Plan work. What are some of those positions?

From our lesson this week we learned that models have many uses. The first is to visualize a process, procedure, or paradigm that contains interrelated parts. The second is to provide a means to remember all of the components and their interactions. A third use of a model is to be a medium for communication and discussion between people. The Human Resources Planning Model is intended to be useful in all three ways.

Of the various components of the human resource planning model, the Business Plan Analysis component could be difficult to complete due to the complexity of the process in having to identify the exact problems or issues that need improvement within the organization. The Business Plan Analysis focuses on issue identification and action planning. By using workforce trends to discover potential problems, Human Resource managers can identify the issues involved in any business plan.
