We are exploring the nature of stress, its effect on human functioning, and techniques to minimize stress. What is the biggest source of stress you have in your life? What is the most effective technique you have used to handle it?

This week we have two graded topic areas. In this first threaded discussion area we will review Stress as it relates to Terminal Course Objective 6:

TCO 6 (Given an account of a stressful personal or professional situation, identify the sources of the stress, evaluate the impact of the stressors, and identify several stress management techniques appropriate for the situation).

Let’s begin by responding to the following questions (also listed above):

1. What is the biggest source of stress [stressor(s)] you have in your life (Ciccarelli & White, 2015, pp. 421-429)?

2. What is the most effective technique you have used to handle it (also see Ciccarelli & White, 2015, pp. 445-449)?
